About Us

We’ve come to realize that this game of credit isn’t fair to most consumers. We aren’t taught the rules of how to play, so how can we ever expect to win? This is where we come in!

Approved Credit Coach was formed in 2018 after we realized there was such a need for credit repair and education in our area. That quickly grew to our company servicing multiple states in the US. Fast forward a few years and we saw the need for DIY programs for Credit Repair. We saw people struggling from cost of living. We saw people struggling from covid. We knew there had to be another way. That is we now offer a DIY Credit Repair Software. This allows us to offer assistance, helping people in the masses, at a much lower cost, but also giving them an effective, trusted way of repairing their credit, on their own.

Our goal is to help consumers to understand how to make their money work for them, improve their credit profiles and leave with financial peace.

I was born in Charleston, SC and moved to Tennessee as an infant where I was raised. I graduated from Cleveland High School (TN) and attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. My upbringing came with its fair share of challenges as I was raised by a single mother struggling financially to raise 3 children. One of toughest challenges was constantly being the family on the move. To put this in to perspective, my elementary school was K-8, but for me, by the time that I completed the 8th grade, I had attended 7 different schools, lived in 7 different cities and lived in 5 different states. The craziest part about this is that I  still attended this elementary school in every single grade from K-8. By the time I graduated high school, I had lived in 21 different places (that I can count). And right now at 43 years old, the home that my wife and I currently own is the longest place that I’ve ever lived in one spot, in my entire life. Our home is just over 6 1/2 years old. I proudly say that while my childhood came with its fair share of instability and financial challenges, I wouldn’t change any of it for the world as it allows me to truly understand, connect and motivate consumers that challenges life has thrown aren’t a sentence to their future.

My 20’s were spent ruining my credit due to poor decisions and lack of understanding. My early 30’s were spent paying the price and cleaning up the mess. It is extremely frustrating as an adult, to look back on how unequipped we were as high school graduates entering the world. Credit education wasn’t taught in traditional schools and my mother, like a lot of other parents, couldn’t teach me what she didn’t understand. Therefore I,  just like most others, was sent out on the field to play a game, without being taught the rules.

My wife Jen and I founded our financial literacy company Approved Credit Coach in 2018. Our team has educated and assisted thousands of consumers across the country in their journey to better credit. Enabling them to reach their goals of home ownership, better interest rates on cars, access funding for their business and more. As we know this economy is not a friend to a poor credit score.

Most of us aren’t sitting on a pile of cash to fund our financial goals, therefore we lean on our credit scores to open up these doors for us. Our credit scores are an assessment of our ability to play FICO’s game, and this game is easily winnable when you understand the rules. We teach the rules while equipping you with the tools to repair, maximize, and protect your credit scores going forward, no matter the storm you went through in the past. We’re here to take out the road blocks on your journey to a Bankable Life!

Born and raised in Northern KY, I received my bachelor’s degree from NKU and worked in healthcare IT for the first 20 years of my life. At 20 years old, I’d married my high school sweetheart and things went south fast. By the time I was 21, I’d lost my house to foreclosure, my car had been repossessed, I’d filed chapter 13 bankruptcy & had to convert it to a chapter 7 a few months later because we couldn’t afford the payments. During the midst of all that, I’d also been scammed out of $2000 from a company claiming to help me avoid bankruptcy. I got divorced right after we’d lost our home and eventually, I financially recovered. At the time, I had no idea that I had options. Instead, I lived with horrible credit for the next 10 years and was at the mercy of a horrible credit score until my early 30’s.

In 2018 I realized there was a great need in our community for credit education, after being asked to help someone with their credit. That is when I became co-founder of Approved Credit Coach. Our company focuses on helping consumers, and business, improve their credit to reach their goals. We focus on education, as we all know that education on real life finances isn’t really taught. I also became a Certified Financial Education Instructor℠ so that I could continue to provide ongoing financial education to our clients and those in our community. Our company also works with refugees in our local community to help provide basic financial education & resources to become homeowners.

My passion is truly helping others and helping to make a difference! ❤️
